It’s been a little while since we last blogged so let me give you a quick update.
MENTOR CONNECT GOES LIVE
The big news is that Mentor Connect has gone through beta testing and is now open to the public.
That means that if you’re a startup or mentor that wants to be involved with PushStart, no matter where you are in Australia, you’re more than welcome to come and apply.
Mentor Connect is a unique solution to the startup growth problem and there’s interest from all over the world in how it goes, so we’re very excited be officially live.
Please keep in mind that this is the first iteration of Mentor Connect and that we’ll continue to update it as we get a feel for the value you think it is adding.
MENTOR GROUP NOW 85-STRONG
Speaking of mentors, at the time of writing we now have 85 mentors from around the country who have signed up.
That’s an amazing number of fantastic tech startup community people, with a wide range of experience and skills, that have put their hand up to help startups.
If you’re working on a tech startup, are beyond idea stage, and are after some relevant, contextual guidance, then I can’t recommend highly enough that you register for Mentor Connect and give it a go.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We’ve got a few PushStart events in the works for Melbourne and Sydney (don’t worry if you’re in other parts of Australia, we’re figuring out how to get to you too)
These include Mentor Live! events.
To see what happened at our last Mentor Live! event check out the wrap up here (including video from the StartCast guys)
As an FYI - all 133 mentoring sessions at that event were filled within 3 days, so make sure you sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear when we announce the new dates, or else you might just miss out :(
SPONSORS
We’re proud to announce a new major sponsor for PushStart - Microsoft.
Microsoft has been a keen supported of the local tech startup community and we’re proud to have them onboard.
They join NineFold as companies who are helping to make PushStart, and all of our activities, happen so please make sure that you check them out and support them back where possible.
On that note, if you’re keen to sponsor PushStart, or know of a company that might be, please drop me an email at kim@pushstart.com.au
PushStart is run on a volunteer basis, so the more support we can get the more we can do!
